Berit Svensli Solseth
Solseth is partner in the Dispute Resolution, Litigation and Construction department where she has broad experience as a strategic advisor and litigator in public law matters. She was a judge/assistant chief judge for almost 15 years and has more than ten years of experience as a lawyer. She has also been the chief legal counsel of the Trondheim municipality.
Solseth has a particularly good understanding of how legal disputes find their solution in the court system. She has extensive experience in matters relating to compulsory acquisition of real property and compensation, as well as the exercise of public authority under the Planning and Building Act and other public legislation.
She has considerable experience from the restructuring of public sector activities, in particular public companies carrying out economic activity. Solseth's role in such processes is to ensure compliance with the rules on state aid, public procurement and other matters of administrative law.
With a high degree of accessibility, Solseth provides assistance in all administrative law matters without any delays and disruptions to the client’s decision-making processes. She will safeguard the legal position of the client with a good understanding of the company's external conditions and strategic goals.
Solseth is an experienced speaker. In addition to civil procedure, her lectures has in recent years focused on public procedural rules and the rules on publicity and transparency.
