Kjersti Lyster Ryen

Ryen provides general employment law advice to private and public sector entities. This includes assistance with the framing of contracts, assessment of various employment forms, working hours arrangements, internal inquiries, business transfers, reorganisations/restructuring processes, termination of employment, summary dismissal, conflict management, dispute resolution and in-court advocacy.

Her Master’s thesis was on business transfers pursuant to Chapter 16 of the Working Environment Act. Since then, she has assisted a number of companies engaged in restructuring processes, transactions and disputes, and has participated in inquiries related to these issues. She has in-depth expertise relating to the rules on business transfers under the Working Environment Act, the Ship Labour Act and the legislation applicable to the civil service.

Ryen has considerable experience and competence in the field of pensions, has assisted with assessments, and has provided general advice on the regulations applicable to pension providers/insurance companies and the regulations governing pension schemes. She also advises clients on specific pension-related issues.

Ryen is keen to identify her clients’ needs and provide practical advice that balances legal and commercial considerations. Her clients appreciate the thoroughness of her approach to different issues.
