Martin Hoff
Hoff assists Norwegian and international clients with various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, negotiations and general business law counselling. He has a broad understanding of business law matters and civil procedure, having successfully litigated numerous cases relating to contentious insolvency, contract law and tort law before Norwegian courts, as well as matters involving freezing injunctions (Norw.: “arrest”).
Hoff has considerable experience in matters relating to contentious insolvency, including preference claims and claims based on transactions at undervalue. Further, he has litigated contractual matters and claims against the Board of Directors pursuant to the Norwegian Limited Liability Companies Act. Moreover, Hoff has substantial experience in freezing injunctions and enforcement through the Bailiff.
Furthermore, Hoff advises clients on property law matters, including sale and leaseback transactions, the establishment of pledges and security interests, and general counsel in situations involving insolvency.
Hoff is currently on leave, serving as a deputy judge at Romerike and Glåmdal District Court.
Hoff holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Bergen and an LL.M. from King’s College London in International Dispute Resolution.
