Sarah Haugvad Andresen

Sarah Haugvad Andresen is a part of Arntzen de Besche’s litigation and dispute resolution team. She also assists clients with matters related to Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Due to her broad expertise within these areas, she makes valuable contributions to complex and multidisciplinary projects.  

Sarah assists both Norwegian and international clients with various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, negotiations, and general business law advisory. She has been involved in several extensive and complex disputes within contract law, corporate law, and tort law.

Sarah also possesses in-depth knowledge of ESG-related regulations relevant to our clients, including the Transparency Act, the EU Taxonomy, sustainability-related disclosure in the financial sector (SFDR), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the reporting standards in ESRS, the Environmental Information Act, the new EU packaging regulation, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), as well as regulations on greenwashing and anti-corruption. As this is a rapidly developing field, Sarah continuously acquires new knowledge, enabling our compliance team to stay ahead in helping our clients adapt to new EU requirements in this area.

She also assists with the development of internal policies, the implementation of due diligence assessments with concrete follow-up measures, and general regulatory compliance. She has extensive experience in managing both internal and external risk, as well as participating in large-scale investigations related to financial regulatory requirements and competition law.

Sarah is known for quickly and thoroughly familiarizing herself with the cases she works on, and she values open, trusting, and constructive dialogue with both colleagues and clients.
