Tobias Behncke

Behncke assists Norwegian and foreign clients with various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, negotiations and general business law counselling. He possesses broad expertise within contract law, law of damages and insurance law, and has been involved in several extensive and complex disputes before the courts.

Behncke has considerable experience of cases relating to professional liability and directors’ liability. He is also part of the professional liability team, which handles a number of cases against different kinds of professional practitioners, and has particular expertise in the area of auditor’s liability.

Within insurance, Behncke’s assistance includes assessment of cover, filing of claims to insurance companies and handling of disputes associated with various types of insurance cover. He has particular experience of D&O insurance and professional liability insurance. Behncke also gives lectures on these subjects.
