Trine Hammervold
Trine is a part of the subject group for technology and innovation. She primarily advises clients on matters concerning data privacy law and cybersecurity. Trine has a background as a legal professional and started her career as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for AtB AS, focusing on general privacy compliance. She has also held the position of DPO the Norwegian Court Administration, being DPO for all of Norway's courts, the Judicial Disciplinary Board, the Judicial Appointments Board, and The Finnmark Commission. In her roles, Trine has closely collaborated with the IT-department, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), and information security advisors, thus acquiring a solid technical expertise that complements her legal background.
Recently, she completed two individual courses at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she explored the use of AI in cybersecurity and cloud security, including the importance of a robust cloud strategy for businesses transitioning to the cloud.
Trine is also a member of the 'Committee for Privacy, Information Security, and Cybersecurity' at Standard Norway and has been appointed as the national expert representing Norway in ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 WG4 and WG5. She contributes to the development of new standards concerning Privacy, AI, and Cybersecurity
During her studies, Trine specialized in cybersecurity and conducted her master's thesis on the legal obligations for cybersecurity breach notifications under the GDPR and NIS Directive.
