We are proud to have assisted Gaia Salmon with a private placement that raised NOK 392 million in fresh investment capital. Thus, the company can start construction of the planned post-smolt facility at Træna, and delivery of post-smolt to offshore aquaculture.
Chairman Roald Dolmen and his company Rodo Landbasert contributed NOK 175 million in the capital increase, and are still the largest shareholder in Gaia Salmon with 45 per cent of the shares. Aker Capital invests NOK 155 million, becoming the second largest owner. In addition, Gaia Salmon has entered into a cooperation agreement with SalMar Aker Ocean for deliveries of post-smolt to offshore aquaculture.
The first construction phase starts in January 2023 and includes a building stock of approximately 15,000 square metres.
